When I first moved into my apartment, I became obsessed with multi-use products: a bed frame with built-in storage, side tables with USB ports, air fryers with . . . basically every capability you could imagine (frying, roasting, reheating, and the like). Even after a year in my new home, I'm still stocking up on everyday essentials that combine the capabilities of multiple products into one seamless item — for the sake of space and my budget. The PS 3-in-1 Oil Diffuser ($30) is, perhaps, my favorite find as of late.

The device might look like a traditional oil diffuser — and a sleek one at that — but the product also doubles as a sound machine and night light. It miraculously bottles up all of my go-to nighttime essentials into one seamless tool that fits perfectly on my nightstand, coffee table, and office desk. Ahead, I break down how to use this unique sleep product, plus who the device is best for.

What I Like About This PS Oil Diffuser

Naturally, I love that it's essentially three products rolled into one. The device is built like a classic oil diffuser with adjustable misting settings, but also has sound machine capabilities — with varying noises — and acts as a night light. For someone with a small nightstand and limited apartment space, this is hugely appealing. Rather than having my space be cluttered by three separate products, I can simply rely on this compact device to deliver an aromatic experience complete with soothing sounds and a cool mood-light feature.

I also appreciate how easy this product is to use. For the humidifier portion, I simply plug the device into a standard wall outlet, fill the product's central reservoir with water until it reaches the capacity line, place the lid back on, and then toggle between three different misting settings until I find my preferred one. In an instant, the diffuser has a cool mist arising from the top. For a more aroma-driven experience, I might place a couple drops of my favorite essential oils into the water before powering the device on — this will help to fill my space with a rich fragrance (no candles necessary) and create a more calming atmosphere.

Lastly, I like that the diffuser has a multitude of buttons situated at the center-bottom of the device, which give me the ability to adjust the product's misting intensity, volume, and brightness; I can seamlessly toggle between all of the settings and simply click each button a couple times in order to switch between the different modes. This device is (maybe?) the most multifunctional product in my home — second only to my beloved air fryer — and with an under-$50 price tag, refreshingly affordable, too.

What's Worth Noting

Unlike other diffuser sets, this product doesn't come with any essential oils — meaning you'll need to purchase those separately. I already had some essential oils that I'd used with a previous diffuser in both lavender and eucalyptus scents, so I simply opted to use those with this machine. Another thing to note is that because this diffuser is so compact, it has a smaller water reservoir compared to other products. I can run the diffuser for several days without having to refill it, but if you're looking for something with a larger water capacity, I recommend shopping out another option.

Who Is the PS Oil Diffuser Best For?

If you're looking for a way to incorporate more calming, wellness-focused products into your home, this multifunctional device is a worthwhile buy that encompasses three separate tools. It's practical, modern-looking (so you don't have to sacrifice on style), and compact enough that it'll fit within even the smallest home spaces and apartments.
