When an alumni from "Dancing with the Stars" is leading the way, you know you're bound to be in for some serious, yet fun work. Founder of The Movement Club, pro dancer Lindsay Arnold leads this high-energy class with assistance from Paris Nicole and Leilani Terris.
This fun-filled workout video from Arnold starts off with a gradual warm up. Arnold leads the class through shoulder rolls and arm circles, and then a series of squats and plank walkouts to downward dog position. There is a countdown timer in the bottom portion of the screen, making it oh-so-easy to remember the exact timestamp where you left off. Or, if you need to pause, this makes it simple to rewind it back and refresh your memory on how to do any exercise technique.
After the warm up, the workout continues into a full-body circuit. The structure for this group fitness class includes three sets of thirty seconds each round, emphasizing a total-body routine. The repeated exercises, with helpful cues and instruction, give you an opportunity to make them better, round after round.
For many of the movements, Arnold features a modification that can be substituted in as needed. This class is bound to get you energized, taking participants through a series of shuffles and side lunges, to name a few. With high-intensity movements, like squat jacks, to more traditional techniques, you're bound to feel a heart-racing challenge.
For the next phase of the class, Arnold adds even more energy with her passion for dance, leading the group into a series of jazz-funk inspired moves. Then, it's all in the hips as Arnold flows seamlessly into a salsa-infused combo. Finishing out smoothly, the class features a quick cool down to promote recovery, including gentle folds, soft neck rotations, and guided breathing.
